Raipur: Today in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Ex-Member Legislative Assembly of Undivided Madhya Pradesh Late Mr. Santosh Kumar Agrawal, Ex-Member of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Mr. Bheema Mandawi, and Ex-Member of undivided Madhya Pradesh’s Legislative Assembly and Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Late Mr. Thakur Balram Singh were paid courteous tribute by the members. Likewise, memebers also paid homage to Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s mother late Mrs. Bindeshwari Baghel and police personnel martyred in naxal attack. Members observed two-minute silence in honour of the departed souls. Later, proceedings of the assembly were postponed till July 15 11am.
At the onset, Assembly Speaker Mr. Charandas Mahant gave introduction of the three late Mr. Santosh Kumar Agrawak, late Mr. Bheema Mandavi and late Mr. Thakur Balram Singh. He said that late Mr. Santosh Kumar Agrawal had got elected as member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Mahasamund constituency. He had keen interest in the fields of religion and social welfare. We have lost a senior political leader and social worker with his demise. Mr. Mahant said that late Mr. Bheema Mandawi was a soft-spoken, simple and humble person. He used to make consistent efforts for development of his constituency. He started his political career as Gram Panchayat Secretary and got elected as member of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. Mr. Mahant said that late Thakur Balram Singh had served as member of undivided Madhya Pradesh’s Legislative Assembly and he also got elected as member of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly late. He had keen interest in Agriculture and Rural Development. He served as Chairman of Mahamaya Mandir Ratanpur Trust all his life.
In his tribute to late Mr. Santosh Agrawal, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that he was actively involved in the fields of social work and religion. He rendered his valuable services as Janpad President and MLA. He said that late Mr. Bheema Mandawi was not only popular in tribal community but was also well-known in other communities. Friendly by nature, Mr. Mandawi used to make consistent efforts for development of his constituency. He also had interest in sports and he was a good kabbaddi player. Chief Minister said that late Mr. Thakur Balram Singh was a simple, easygoing and friendly public representative.
Likewise, Leader of Opposition Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Parliamentary Works Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Ex-Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Ex-Chief Minister Mr. Ajit Jogi and other members also paid courteous tribute to late Mr. Santosh Kumar Agrawal, late Mr. Bheema Mandavi, late Mr. Thakur Balram Singh, and late Mrs. Bindeshwari Baghel.
