New microscopic faunal species discovered in caves of Chhattisgarh

Raipur. New microscopic faunal species have been discovered in Kotumsar caves located near Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh, India. The four million year old Kotumsar cave is a major attraction for people interested in ecotourism. It is a limestone cave formed on the Kanger limestone belt, situated near the bank of river Kanger.

The sensational discovery has been reported in the international science journal Zootaxa.
