100-ft tricolours to be installed at 75 railway stations

New Delhi : Instead of utilising crucial funds for qualitative improvements particularly with regard to passenger safety, Railway Board has directed Railways to install at least 100-ft tricolours to at 75 railway stations.

The cost of the work will be charged under umbrella work of ‘Soft upgrades improvement at stations’.

Passenger representatives say priority of the Railways should be upgrading the passenger amenities and installation of flags is certainly not related.
